  Milburn A with Reflector RSide.JPG - MILBURN MINER A - Brass lamp with dull black finish, marked THE MILBURN MINER“A” BALTIMORE, U.S.A. on nameplate plaque, with overhead wire bail and hook and hook and cap braces on back, ca. 1910s, 4 in. tall, manufactured by The Alexander Milburn Co. of Baltimore, MD established in 1907, with brass Milburn cap lamp reflector, ex-Dave Thorpe collection  (The Alexander Milburn Co. of Baltimore, MD was best known for their powerful, portable searchlights.  The first Milburn brand lamps were probably produced around 1907 and somewhat later the company produced the Milburn Miner "A".  With the decline of acetylene lamp market in the 1920s, the company phased out its lamp production and focussed on acetylene welding and cutting products.)
